Frequently Asked Questions

Are you currently accepting new clients?

Yes, we are currently accepting new clients. We believe in making mental health services accessible to all who seek them, and we are committed to helping as many individuals as possible. Our team of highly skilled and compassionate psychologists are ready to assist you. Please contact admin to enquire about the wait times for individual psychologists.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?

Our psychologists offer telehealth appointments through our secure electronic practice system. There is growing research that suggests telehealth therapy is just as effective as face-to-face therapy, meaning we can offer quality care while increasing accessibility. This format can be ideal for people with busy schedules, mobility issues, or who just are more comfortable in their own homes.

For telehealth appointments you will need:

  • Access to an electronic device with a camera and microphone such as - a computer, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone.
  • A quiet environment, where you feel comfortable talking and won't get interrupted.
  • A fast, reliable internet connection.

How does the Mental Health Care Plan work?

The majority of our clients are referred to us by their GP under the Medicare 'Better Access' Scheme. You can book a long appointment with your GP for them to prepare a Mental Health Care Plan and referral to a psychologist. This plan will enable you to receive a substantial Medicare rebate for 10 appointments in a calendar year. After 6 appointments, you will be required to revisit your GP for a re-referral or review of your plan. Medicare rebates vary depending on the psychologists' qualifications.

Can you bill my plan/case manager directly?

If you are NDIS plan managed, or funded by RTWSA, Work Cover etc., please provide us with the details of your plan or case manager for invoicing, and we can bill them directly.

Do you take private health?

Yes, if your private health fund covers psychology (extras). We have a HICAPS terminal at the practice to process your Health Fund claim at the time of your appointment. Please bring your private health card with you. If reception is unattended at the time of your appointment, we will provide you with a paid receipt to claim with your health fund. We recommend contacting your health fund provider to enquire about your cover and benefits.
